Our goal is to provide fast, reliable, and private translation right on your device.

Key Features

  • iOS Shortcuts Integration: Use our pre-configured iOS Shortcut to access translation anywhere, triggered by the Action Button or Back Taps.
  • Face-to-Face Conversations: Seamlessly translate conversations in real-time. This feature is designed to make in-person multilingual conversations as smooth as possible.
  • Translation History: Your translation history is saved securely and locally on your device for your reference. You are in full control and can delete your history at any time.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Your privacy is a top priority. To use Sidekick Translate, a user account with your name and email is required. This allows you to manage your subscription and purchases across devices. Here’s how we handle your data for our two translation methods:

  • On-Device Translation:

    • 100% Private: These translations are processed entirely on your iPhone and are never sent to our servers. We have no access to them.

  • AI Translation (Cloud-Based):

    • Advanced Features: To provide more nuanced translations, this option utilizes cloud-based AI services.
    • Data Handling: The text of your translation is sent to our servers for processing. We may temporarily log this data for diagnostic purposes. While this data may be associated with an internal account ID for troubleshooting, we do not use it to personally identify you.

Pricing & Features

All purchases are linked to your Sidekick Translate account, allowing you to access them on any compatible device where you are logged in.

On-Device Translation This feature is available on the iPhone 15 Pro or newer. You can access it in one of three ways:

  • As a New User: Enjoy complimentary access during your initial trial period.
  • With an Access Pass: Access is included with any active “Access Pass” subscription.
  • With a One-Time Unlock: Gain permanent access without a subscription by making a total of $6.99 in-app purchases.

AI Translation Access to our most advanced translation features requires two things:

  1. An active “Access Pass” subscription.
  2. A sufficient Token balance.

*Disclaimer: On-device translation relies on Apple’s native translation frameworks. Its availability is dependent on Apple’s continued support for this technology in iOS.
